What an unforgettable weekend in Labuan. MarineHack 2025 wasn’t just a competition it became a powerful reminder of what happens when passion, purpose and possibility meet in the same room.

From over 130 students across Malaysia, thirty-six inspiring finalists gathered in Labuan, united by creativity, courage and a shared vision for change. But what we witnessed from all eight teams was far more than prototypes and pitches it was courage in action. It was young Malaysians daring to ask, “What if?” and then doing the hard work to answer it.

As shared in our opening address by our Managing Director Josef Wong:
“Innovation begins with courage and courage is what brought every one of our participants here.”

This year’s winners walked away with more than just recognition:
1st Prize – RM10,000 + the opportunity to pilot their solution
2nd Prize – RM7,500 + dedicated industry mentorship
3rd Prize – RM5,000 + access to our innovation workshops

And over two days, they proved that local ideas can stand on global stages.
